Broad spectrum antibiotic againstgram - ve, gram + ve microorganism, active in tuberculosis infections, respiratory, genitourinary, intestinal, infections, urinary, bacterial infections, infections due to antibiotic resistant.

MYCOCHLORIN is indicated in the treatment of infections caused by Chloramphenical sensitive microorganisms e.g. rickettsias, chlamydia, mycoplasma, anaerobe, brucella, enterocoli, pneumococci, streptococci, staphyllococci, meningococci.
In the treatment of diseases such as :
- Typhoid fever, paratyphoid.
- Respiratory tract infections : pneumonia, bronchoneumonia, empyema.
- Skin infections due to scrub typhus : Papulovesicular.
- Surgical infections
- Other :
Prostatis, Orchiepididymitis, peritonitis of appendix, sinusitis tonsillitis.

Bacterial infections such as upper and lower respiratory tract infections, bronchitis, Pneumonia, tonsillitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis.
Renal and urinary tract infections : Pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis, Genital infections in both sexes, including gonococcal urethritis, Skin infections : pyoderma, infections wounds.
Gestrointestinal tract infections: gastronteritis,including typhoid and parathyphoid.

Norfcin is a quinolone, an effective broad spectrum bactericidal. Its antibacterial action lies in its inhibition of DNA gyrase activity. It is highly effective against :-
- bacterial pathogens causing urinary tract infections such as Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabillis, Staphylococcus saprophyticus.
- bacterial species resistant to antibiotics such as Enterobacter spp., Klebsiella spp., Serratia spp., Indole - positive Proteus, Acinetobacter, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Streptococcus faecalis,
- aerobic gastroenterobacteria,
- non - penicillinase and penicillinase producing N. gonorrhoeae. It is rather ineffective against anaerobic bacterria
Treaments of :-
- Gonorrhoeae.
- Urinary tract infections.
- Gestrointestinal infections.
