C - FLOXACIN (250 mg) C-FLOXACIN is a quinolone, an effective broad spectrum bactericidal. Its antibacterial action lies in its inhibition of DNA gyrase activity. The types of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria that are sensitive to ciprofloxacin are such as E.coli, Enterobacter, Neisseria, Shigella, Salmonella, Klebsiella, Proteus, Haemophilus, Brucella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Corynebacterium, Listeria, Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, Legionella and M.tuberculosis, Anaerobes are resistant. Infections caused by pathogens sensitive to ciprofloxacin are such as:- - Urinary tract infections - Genital organ infections - Gonorrhoeae - Infectious skin and soft tissues - Respiratory tract infections - Gastrointestinal and biliary tracts Infections |
